What's New In ClipForm
Your registration of
ClipForm for Microsoft Outlook will work with present and future releases.
You will be able to take advantage of new features in new versions as they are
released. ClipForm is user-supported software, and many of our features
have come from user suggestions.
Version 1.4 -
September 13, 2002
-
New Feature:
ClipForm now provides for conditional labels, which will be included in front of
Outlook data when data is present, but which will be omitted if there is no
data. .
-
New Feature:
ClipForm now supports the [SenderAddress] and [Recipient] pseudo-fields.
These extract the e-mail address of the sender of an e-mail message, or the
message's first recipient, respectively. (NOTE: Outlook 2000 SR-1 and
Outlook XP contain security features which require the user to authorize
programs to extract e-mail addresses. If these pseudo-fields are used in a
template, the user will need to authorize access to this information in
Outlook.)
-
Fixed:
Earlier releases of ClipForm would suppress extra line feeds when extracting the
[Body] field. This behavior has been corrected.
Version 1.3 -
October 16, 2001
-
New Feature:
ClipForm now provides pseudo-fields [DateTime], [Date] and [Time] for
intelligently extracting date and time information from appointments that
include timed appointments, single-day all-day appointments and multi-day
all-day appointments.
Version 1.2 - August
6, 2001
-
New Feature:
You can now link multiple filters in a single Filter= directive, using either "AND" or "OR" logic. This makes it
possible to filter the same Outlook field with multiple values, and pull
Outlook items matching any of the values. This works faster and is more
reliable than Include=.
-
Bug Fix:
Filter directive now interprets numeric values as numbers instead of strings.
To treat a number as a string in a filter, enclose it in single quotes, e.g.
'0'.
Version 1.1 - July
19, 2001
-
New Feature:
The Include= directive can be used to include multiple filtered criteria
using logical OR.
-
New Feature:
ClipForm now writes a log file (CLIPFORM.LOG) in its program folder.
This file contains pertinent information about the last time ClipForm was
launched. This includes ClipForm, Outlook and Windows version data; data
concerning the Outlook source folder; data concerning the template; data
concerning filtered and included items; and runtime errors. This
information can be useful in pinpointing the source of runtime errors.
-
New Feature/Bug
Fix: ClipForm now allows you to specify the source Outlook folder
using its MAPI entry ID property. This can help resolve situations where
ClipForm is otherwise unable to find a specific folder in Outlook. This
also allows a ClipForm template to work even if the user renames or moves the
folder.
-
Bug Fix:
Fixed bug which caused registration dialog to be repeated for registered
users.
-
Bug Fix:
Fixed bug which truncated text extracted from Outlook to 255 characters.
-
Improved:
Broken links in help file fixed.
