The person who I consider to be a good role model for me is my mother. The reason I say this is because my mother makes a good pay check. She also does good in paying the bills. She makes sure we are doing what we are supposed to do. Not that I would love her any less if she didn't have money; what I mean is that she has a good-paying job and I admire that from what was a single parent for half of my life. We went through thick and thin together and I would not exchange that for anything. Nothing will or would ever be more important then my mother.
A good role model is important because they are always someone you can look up to. If you don't have anyone to look up to, you will not be happy. That means that you have no goal to look up to. For example, if your role model is a lawyer and your role model says it would be better if you go to school and get an education and a hard working job that pays well, it will always be better then selling drugs. You would probably listen to them instead of a person you think is your friend trying to get you on their side. You should probably listen to them, they have good answers for all your questions.
My role model is my Grandpops because he taught me that there are other things to do besides hanging out in the streets and doing nothing. He taught me you can be other things besides a professional basketball player, and that you can put on a suit and tie and be somebody.
A good role model is important because they teach a positive example and they are there for you when you need them. For example, my Grandpops taught me how to wax cars, hunt, fish and just to be a good person. Rest in peace Grandpops.
My role model is my sister. She inspires me to go for my goals and to think big. Not only does she encourage me, but I can tell her things that sisters should be able to talk about. Kim can relate to some of the things I tell her because she has been there. She is my older sister, she helps me learn and to think of others instead of myself.
To me a good role model should be someone you can trust and someone who can understand you. That's why I chose my sister as my role model. And also as a role model, she shows me positive things that I can strive for in the future.
The person who I consider to be a good role model is Michael Jordan. I think he
is a good role model because he encourages people to get a good education. He is always telling people to enhance their knowledge. He also inspires people by saying that if we put our minds to it, we can do anything. He proved that he wanted to follow his dreams by quitting basketball to go play baseball, proving that money wasn't the most important thing in his life.
I think role models are important because they teach us things that we don't know about yet. They prepare us for things in life that we haven't achieved yet. They also tell us about things we should be prepared for.
The person who I consider to be a good role model for me is my mother. My mother is my role model because even at her worst and the sickest time in her life she was still a good mother. Even though she didn't feel that well, she still took care of me and my two other sisters. During this time when she had ovarian cancer and she was going through chemotherapy she taught me that no matter how big a problem is, you can still survive. This influenced me, and when I have kids I want to show them the same kind of love.
Good role models are important because they show kids how to act the right way. They also show kids right from wrong. What's more, they show kids what it is like to be an adult, and that being an adult isn't as fun as it looks and that you should enjoy your youth.
The people who I consider to be good role models for me are my family members and my friends. I think these people are my role models because they help me with some of my problems and encourage me to achieve my goals. They play sports with me and tell me things I should do: Work hard, and have fun when it's appropriate.
Role models are good to have because they can do fun things with you, they're there when you need them and they help you deal with your problem is in a positive way. Role models are always there for you. A role model is something special to have in your life.
The person who I consider to be a good role model is my Dad. I say this because he works on cars and that is what I want to work on. I don't want to be just like him because there are some things I don't like. But there are a lot of things I do like about him. He has his own shop. And he helps a lot of people. He is a good person and he gets me anything I want. When he is around me he gives me a good example. He tells me what's right and what's not right. I don't see him a lot, but he is there when I need him.
A good role model is important because you need someone to look up to and to be there when you need them. And they set an example for you. You also can take after them.
My role model is my Aunt Lisa because she understands me and she is always there for me. When I need her help on something like math or when I need to talk to her about something, she is there. She makes me think positive about myself and she never puts me down like other family members. She takes me places like The Million Woman March where I had fun and I learned a lot. I saw people who I liked and people who are famous, even people who have written books. I was really grateful to her for taking me.
A good role model is somebody who puts your mind in the right place. It's not just that they don't pressure you into things you don't want to do They take you places, buy you things, help you in your time of need, and when you are down you can call on them. I am only saying these things to explain my role model because she lives near me and I do these things with her. She cares about me a lot That's what a role model is supposed to do.
My role model is my mother. She is my role model because she sets a good example for me. My mom is very special to me. She is very outgoing, which teaches me to be outgoing as well. When I'm going through rough times she seems to always have a way to comfort me and understand. When I'm mad or sad she always seems to make me laugh. She cares about me very much. Sometimes I think she is overprotective of me, but when I look at it I realize she is trying to protect me from harm. When I watch TV and see how many kids get kidnapped and I see how much pain the parents are going through, it makes me understand why she is so protective of me. I love my mother so much, I don't know what I would do without her.
Good role models are important because they set good examples for kids. They show you that you can accomplish your dreams and hopes. Without a role model I don't know where I would be.
My role model is John Lyons. He is the most well-known individual ever to ride in the Western saddle. He is very kind to horses and that's really important to me. He sets a good example for me because he believes that you should treat your horse like a partner and not your slave. I think that this man inspired me to work more with horses. He said that every moment you have with your horse, you should cherish because they are not always going to be there for you. He inspired me to ride every day and to always meet your goals no matter what the cost. He said if you reach high enough, you can do anything. And that's what I did.
Role models are really important to you because they give you something to look forward to every day. They inspire you to do the right thing and not the wrong thing. You look up to them for help and hope to be just like them.
The person who I consider to be my role model is my mother. She is my role model because she teaches me all the important things that I need to know. And she also is a good role model because she does everything I ask of her. She teaches me how to be polite and mature. She taught me how to be polite and mature because she is polite and mature; so I learned from her example.
I think that you should have a role model because you can look up to them. I also think that they set good examples for kids. They also show you what you can accomplish when you get older.
I have a good role model and his name is Coatesville High School graduate Richard "Rip" Hamilton, a star basketball player at the University of Connecticut. He has shown us many positive things, like not to stand around on the corners. He did something good with his life, he want right on to college. He is a good role model for people because he is trying to tell you something and something you should do with your life. He is showing us how he cares for his city and what he wants us to do. He is saying don't be a follower, be a leader.
He is a good role model for me and you. He helps you out with anything, he shows me a lot of things by showing us what we should do. When he is playing his games we will cheer him on and show that we care. He was not a star in middle school, but he made more improvement on his game and did well in life. He practices so hard and he did what he wanted to do. He made his wish and it came true.
My role models are Mase, Penny, Iverson, Deion Sanders, Tupac, Biggie, Puffy and Lil' Kim. They are my role models because they are all black successful people who made it from off the streets to where they are now. Even though they were not rich when they were growing up and they probably did not get most of the things we as kids get now, they still managed to hold on to their dreams.
A role model is someone you can look up to, or somebody you can talk to when you have a problem with school work or something. A role model can look up to. It is a good idea to get a role model because - who else could you look up to or who else would you want to be like?
I believe that one of the biggest problems facing young teens today is getting along with your brother or sister. This is especially a problem if they are younger than you. The reason I say this is because you are growing up and doing new things. I think your siblings find this interesting and they do not want to be left out. This could lead to listening in on your phone calls, or wanting to hang out with you and your friends. Even jealousy is involved because sometimes younger brothers and sisters feel it is not fair that they do not get to do what you do.
To help deal with these problems you should get involved with your siblings somehow. Set some time aside each day to spend with them. Even if it is only 15 minutes a day. Then they will feel special and will not bother you when you do not want them to. If they are feeling jealous maybe let them know that they will get to do what you are doing someday, too.
I believe that the biggest problem facing young tens today is peer pressure. The reason why I say this is because your friends are always trying to get you into trouble.
They can try to make you do drugs, steal, and they can make you do things you would never think of doing. These things can make your grades drop and you will start hanging around the wrong group of people. If there are people like this, they aren't really your friends. All the teachers in your school should make a support group that could help you deal. You could get into this group if you have a problem with your friends, family or drugs.
I believe that the biggest problem facing young teens today is peer pressure. I believe this because most kids fall in to peer pressure because they think it is the only way to be cool. Peer pressure is related to alcohol, drugs, and violence because other people pressure you into doing things you know is wrong, making the term peer pressure. If you fall into peer pressure you could get into big trouble or regret doing it just because other people told you to do it.
I think we should address this in a very serious manner. Parents could put together support groups that help teens deal with peer pressure. We could even put on town plays showing how to deal with peer pressure in a positive way. I think we should be more involved in peer pressure.
I believe that peer pressure to have sex is one of the biggest problems facing teens today. I say this because kids are always getting involved with boys. A lot of girls do not know how to just say no. They think that if they say no, the boy or whoever that person is, might start to like them less or that their relationship will end.
The way that you should handle your problem is to tell that person, "If you really have true feelings for me, you would understand that I am not ready." If they can not understand, then that is not the right person for you. Because you are too special to ruin your life just over some boy who is not sensitive enough for you. They are just not worth it.
I believe that the biggest problem facing teens today is violence. The reason that I say this is because too many kids are getting into fights and are getting hurt. Some are using guns and knives and other dangerous weapons. Kids are beating up other kids just for their shoes and clothes. Kids want revenge on the kids who hurt them and bring more people into it, and maybe a gun. Schools aren't even safe anymore.
To address this problem, I believe we should do a lot of things. We should have more severe penalties if you are found with a gun in school. It should be harder to get a gun or any other dangerous weapon. Or we could have a metal detector at the front of a school if it gets too out of hand. If we do this maybe the violence will decrease.
I believe that the biggest problem facing young teens today is parents using drug. I say this because parents are the only role models for kids today so if mom or dad do drugs kids think it's ok for me. That's a very negative influence for them, so if you are a parent or thinking about being one, just say no because it will only hurt you and your child.
I believe we should have counseling in schools all over the world for this problem. It would really help a lot of people because parents need to be educated about the dangers of drug use just like their children.
I believe that the biggest problem facing young teens today is peer pressure. I believe that many young teens are getting pressured to make choices they don't want to. Most of these people are getting pressured from their "friends." I don't think anyone should have to do things they don't want to do. This causes trouble. It can cause teens to do illegal things or break rules. After they break rules, they have to pay the price. You could end up in jail or suspended from school.
To prevent getting involved with peer pressure you should stay away from bad kids. If you feel you are getting pressured by friends, walk away. If your friends want you to do something you feel is wrong, don't do it. No one can make you do everything. Peer pressure may cause you to have low self-esteem. Don't worry, you aren't the only person who is facing this. Schools have teachers that care and will listen to you. If your friends say they won't like you anymore if you don't do what they want you to do, walk away and say you will find new friends. As a teen I think the school should have kids get together to talk about what they are pressured about. I think kids also need to feel that they have true friends to talk to and know that their friends will keep it confidential. That is what I think the biggest problem facing teens is.
I think the biggest problems facing teens today are drugs and alcohol. I picked this topic because many teens everyday are influenced to use these depressants which can cause disease or even death.
Both alcohol and drugs are depressants. Many teens every year die from alcohol and drugs. Many of the teens that take these drugs say that they make them feel relaxed and more into the party. Others say that they did it for popularity and support. I say if you want to be more popular, don't use drugs but try other things to help you. For example, join a group at school or make some new friends. But drugs is not the answer.
To address this problem I believe we should have support groups in our communities and school. This will give the chance for people of all ages to unite and make friends. I believe it will show people how to have fun at a party without drinking. This is what I think we should do to address the problem.
I think that the biggest problems facing teens today today are dealing with drug and alcohol-related problems because they lead to many addictions and harmful effects. Some drugs that cause problems are crack, cocaine, marijuana, and mainly smoking. Marijuana is the most commonly used street drug today. Smoking marijuana reduces memory, reactions, coordination, and inhibitions. It increases heart rate, appetite, and lowers body temperature. Marijuana damages heart and lungs, also interfering with normal body developments in teens by changing hormonal levels. That may cause psychological dependence. Crack and cocaine can also cause these harmful affects. Alcohol also can cause many harmful effects.
If you have an addiction or problem dealing with alcohol you should call Alateen or Alanon. If you have a problem dealing with alcohol or drugs towards your family you should get in touch with Alcoholics Anonymous. If you can't get in touch with someone, you should try to help yourself the best way you can.
I think that the biggest problem facing young teens today is peer pressure. To fit in with the popular people in school, people feel they have to do things like smoke and drink. This is a sign of peer pressure. Peer pressure can be very damaging to you physically and mentally because it can be addictive. What I mean is that if you really want to be cool, you set your mind to being cool and don't think of what is really good for you. I know of some people who wanted to be cool, so they did some things that they shouldn't have done. They regret doing what they did, and wish it had never happened, but it did. If you want to be happy, you should try and avoid peer pressure.
I believe a possible solution for this problem is to form a support group at Gordon. We should try to approach this by talking about it in health class. I think this is a good idea so people could discuss it with adults and their peers.
I believe the biggest problem facing young teens today is peer pressure. People are pressured into doing drugs, stealing, violence, sex, and other things teenagers face today. A lot of teenagers have AIDS from unprotected sex or AIDS from drugs. There's teenagers killing each other or stealing from each other to impress people or somebody, or to get in a gang. Instead they are hurting themselves.
To address this problem, I believe we should have group sessions for different types of peer pressure so we can make people feel good about their decisions. We can have students go to different groups after school. By preventing these things from happening, we can talk to them about their problems and show them it's okay to say no.
I believe that the biggest problem facing teens today is drugs. Drugs lead to addictions and messing with your head and affect your school work. The drugs and alcohol give you more problems than you have. They cause teens to have unprotected sex with people they don't know. Drugs and alcohol can lead to young people getting arrested or killed. Most teens use drugs because their friends do it. While they are drunk they get behind the wheel of an automobile and cause people to have an accident while they are high. Sometimes, while the teens are high or drunk, they don't think about their family or themselves.
To address this problem, I believe we should build a center for every young person to come to after school and talk about what's on their mind. If you drink, we could talk about ways you can stop drinking. One way people can stop drinking and doing drugs is to stay in school and talk to a guidance counselor.
I believe that the biggest problem facing young teens today is peer pressure. The reason I say this is because many young teens are forced to do things because of other teens. Popular teens will make you believe something is cool when it's not. Sometimes someone does something to be cool or to be liked. Sometimes something you do will hurt or even kill you or other people. You could get into a lot of trouble if you are not being yourself. If you stop worrying about other people and start worrying about yourself, then you wouldn't have any problems.
To address this problem, I believe we should not care about whatever anyone else thinks and care about what you think. If teens don't feel they can deal about this by themselves they should talk to their parents. If they don't feel comfortable about talking to their parents then they should talk to a counselor at their school. This means you should be yourself. Just remember everyone is different, and no one is perfect. I think that being yourself is the best thing you could do. Think about what you do before you do it.
I believe that the biggest problem facing young teens today is peer pressure. Today young teens face the temptation of drug use and gangs every day. Walking through an alley is just enough for a child to be introduced to drugs and gangs. Even going to a corner store, you could be asked to just try drugs and that's enough to get started and become an addict.
Just because all your friends may do drugs doesn't mean you should do drugs, too. If you want to become somebody you should not do drugs especially if you want to become an athlete. You should know that athletes need to be totally healthy. If you do drugs it will weaken your muscles and you won't be able to do the things you want to do. So remember, don't do drugs, become somebody.
I believe that the biggest problems facing young teens today are drugs and alcohol. I think that because they see other kids do it and they think it is cool. Maybe they have problems at home with their parents. They might be getting pushed to the edge by their friends and their older siblings. They will get addicted to the drugs and alcohol.
To address this problem, I think we should help kids see a counselor or to go another adult. They should have after school programs. We should try to help them with their problems so they can try to stop. We should to have an alcohol speech from someone who had a drug and alcohol problem. That is how we should help kids to stop doing drugs and alcohol.
The person who I would like to meet is Mike Tyson. I would like to meet Mike Tyson because I would like to know why he, all of a sudden, bit Evander Holyfield. I would also like to know a few power hits and techniques he uses when he practices or when he's in a real fight. I would like to know how he got started and if he got influenced by any of the greats. My final question is if he could go back in time would he change something he did wrong.
The person that I would like to have met was Tupac Shakur. The reason why I would have enjoyed meeting him is because I admire him and his music. Throughout his life he wrote a lot of songs and my favorite song is, "I Wonder if Heaven's got a ghetto." I also like his music because he put a lot of work into it. Now I listen to his music a lot because he died two years ago, in 1996, in a drive-by. It was hard to get over it, but after three weeks I was coming out of being depressed to slightly bummed.
If I could meet anyone it would be Neil Armstrong, an American astronaut who was born in 1930 in Wapakoneta, Ohio, USA. He graduated from Purdue University and soon joined the National Aeronautic Space Administration. In 1966 he was the first civilian to enter the astronaut training program. In the same year he piloted the Gemini 8 Man in Space Flight. On July 15, 1969, Neil Alden Armstrong landed on the moon. As he exited the shuttle he said, "One small step for man, one giant leap for humanity. " This is one of America's great achievers. If you put your mind to it, you can do anything just like Neil Armstrong. When I grow up I want to be a policeman. I'm going to be like Neil.
I would have liked to meet my grandmother on my mom's side. I always hear great stories about her from both my mom and my sister. She died when I was only about one or one and a half. The only thing that I heard about her that I didn't like was that whenever my sister even just had a cough, my Grandmother would run out and buy her something. It might have been cool, but I wouldn't want to be spoiled. I guess I am just a little jealous, well, maybe not. This is for my Grandmother wherever she is. I wish I could have met her. She reminds me of myself, even though I barely knew her. I will always remember her. She died of lung cancer, it was a death long expected. I love you Grandmother.
The persons I would enjoy meeting are Lil' Kim, Puff Daddy, Ma$e and The Lox. The reason I want to meet them is because I'm a big fan. I would like to make a tape with them, but then again I'm not too good at singing. Maybe they can teach me the same way somebody taught them. I would be so scared that maybe I would faint. I would be so popular after that day that maybe I'll be the most popular person in the school.
The person I would like to meet the most is Count Dracula. I say this because I think he is a cool person to meet. Also, he has a huge castle and huge rooms. I think it would be neat to spend the night in his castle. I would love to try to sleep in a casket. A question I would like to ask him is, "Do you really suck blood?" Also, I would love to wear his cape. I would ask him two more questions. The first one would be, "Do you have a pet?" And the second one would be, "How old are you?"
The person I would like to meet is Kristi Yamaguchi, the figure skater. I say this because I like figure skating and she is the best female figure skater in the United States. And I really like what she wears and I love the moves she makes when she does her triple jumps and her twirls. I would ask her if she gets scared when she goes out and competes in front of 50,000 people.
A person I would like to meet is Tara Lipinski because I love to watch ice skating. She is a young American ice skater in the Olympics. I like to ice skate myself sometimes, but I'll never be good. I think ice skating is the best Olympic sport. I'd like to have a little lesson with her so she could teach me a few tricks. I'd like to ask her if her childhood was hard because she had to work on ice skating all the time. I would ask her how she got to the Olympics and why she likes ice skating so much. I would ask her whether she even likes being in Nagano. I'd tell her that I admire her for being in the Olympics and that I'll be cheering for her.
The person who I would enjoy meeting is LeeAnn Rimes. I say this because she is a terrific country singer for a 15-year-old. She is a good role model for me because even though she is a young adult she still has an education. When she isn't singing she's studying and getting tutored. If I met LeeAnn Rimes I'd ask her for her autograph and a T-shirt with her picture and signature on the front. I would also ask her for some tickets and backstage passes to her concert because she is my favorite country singer.
My goal in life is to meet Steven Spielberg because I want to be a famous movie or T.V director. I also want to learn how hard or easy it is to become a famous director. If or when I meet him, one of my questions would be, "What inspired you the most?"
The two people that I would want to meet would be Mase and Lil' Kim. The reason I want to meet them is because I like their music. I also like their style, Mase is cute, and I like his new album "Harlem World." I would ask him to rap to me, and tell his story as a child as he grew up in Harlem, New York. I would also ask him if he could keep in touch with me and if I could come and visit him sometimes. I am a No. 1 fan of Mase. And as for Lil' Kim, I like her music, her style and her album, "Hardcore." I would ask her to tell me the story of her life and to rap to me.
The person who I would really like to have met is my great Aunt Minnie. This is because I've heard many stories about her. My father told me she had really long gray hair that almost reached the ground. She lived to be about 100 years old. If I could see her today, I would ask her what it was like to live in the late 1800's\early 1900's. I would like to ask her if there were cars and airplanes when she lived. I would also ask her if the U.S.A owned Hawaii and Alaska yet. There are lots more questions I would ask.
The person I would enjoy meeting is Usher Raymond. I say this because he is a very good singer. Also I think he is so cute and I think his moves are so good. I absolutely love his songs. If I met him I would ask him if he is involved with anybody. Then I would tell him he is my favorite R&B singer. I would tell him that because I want to be an R&B singer when I grow up.
The persons who I would enjoy meeting are Usher Raymond and Mason Betha. I say this because they both look good. I like Mase's dimple and I like how they sing. I know all of their songs with the music I taped off the radio. I would like to know if they have girlfriends because if they saw me they would never take an eye off me. I wish Usher and Mase could come to my house on Aug. 31 to my party to perform for me.
The person who I would enjoy meeting is Cheryl Swoopes because I admire her the most, she is the bomb and I want to be a female basketball player just like her. My dream is to play for the WNBA. If I got a chance to meet her I would ask her for her autograph on her jersey. I have seen her play and I think she is the best female player I know.
