Registration
You must register, and obtain a Developer ID code, to use the Visual Basic Ecco Toolkit in a development environment. Two types of licenses are available:
A developer license is $49.95 and allows you to develop applications for distribution. All applications must invoke the Register method with your unique Developer ID. In addition, you can specify a unique user name and user ID for every user (allowing you to require user authentication for your applications), or an expiration date. A personal license is $19.95 and allows you to develop applications for use on any computer that you own. All applications must invoke the Register method with your unique Developer ID. The first time that you run any application on any computer, you will be prompted to enter your user name and user ID as well. If valid information is provided, this information will be saved in the Registry and you will not be prompted for it again. Press here to purchase a personal license online using major credit cards.
Safeguard your Developer ID! Any knowledgeable person can use it not only to operate your software without a license, but to generate user ID's so that others can use your application without licensing. We recommend that you not distribute source code containing your developer ID.
